Publicly traded software firm seeking Director of Accounting.

The Director of Accounting will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, coordinating and overseeing all monthly/quarterly close cycles, and executing and maintaining internal controls over the financial close process.

New York Accounting Director Responsibilities: · Direct oversight of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes · Direct oversight of the financial accounting and analysis function, which includes: o Proper revenue recognition o Accounting for various operating expenses and non-operating income and expenses o KPI analyses · Two (2) direct reports: Accounting Manager and Financial Accounting Analyst, and 3-4 staff · Oversight of the preparation of all consolidated financial statements · Perform detailed review of complex accounting or areas requiring management’s judgment Manage the detailed audit requests and fieldwork logistics for external audit process (quarterly reviews and annual audit) · Execute and maintain internal controls over financial reporting to support the Company’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts

Accounting Job Qualifications:

· Director or Sr.Manager Experience in the Accounting department of publicly listed firm · Experience with a software or Media firm is highly desirable · 4+ years experience with a large accounting firm · SOX experience required · A thorough understanding of US GAAP/ FASB standards and SEC regulations · International business acumen (FX, multi-currency) highly desirable.
